This update to the Nothing Phone (1) model will eliminate all errors
Even though Nothing seems heavily focused on the Nothing Phone (2) model at the moment, the company doesn't seem to be forgetting its first love anytime soon.
The world of technology is abuzz with anticipation for the launch of Nothing's Phone (2), scheduled for July 7th. Tech enthusiasts expect the forthcoming smartphone to pack a host of impressive features such as the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and the innovative Glyph interface. In addition, Nothing is also launching its new operating system, Nothing OS 2.0, specially crafted to boost productivity while retaining a minimalist design aesthetic. Interestingly, this OS isn't limited to just the new phone; it will also be rolled out for the existing Nothing Phone (1) starting from August. Meanwhile, to enhance the user experience, Nothing has issued a software update for its current devices, which is chock-full of bug fixes and improvements.
This latest software update, labeled version 1.5.5, doesn't merely serve as a patch for bugs. It comes in at a comfortable size of 114MB and brings along several notable enhancements. A key improvement is the expansion of RAM, which bolsters the device's multitasking capabilities. The face unlock feature also underwent refinement, working more smoothly now. Furthermore, users can expect optimized battery usage due to a decrease in Bluetooth power consumption. A complete list of the features and fixes offered by this update is provided in the attached changelog.
Here's a brief overview of what's new in the update:
- An improvement in Face Unlock performance, particularly enhancing recognition accuracy in darker environments.
- Implementation of RAM Expansion, which allows a 10% increase in the number of apps that can remain open in the background.
- Reduction in Bluetooth power consumption when the device is on standby at night.
And, here are some of the key bug fixes:
- A fix for an issue that occasionally turned off adaptive brightness automatically.
- A resolution for a rare problem that prevented photos from being taken.
