Jia Jingdong, Vice-President and GM of Product Strategy at Vivo, recently shared a glimpse of the forthcoming Vivo X90S flagship phone on social media. The X90S, like its predecessors in the X-series, is predicted to provide an exceptional photography experience.

Vivo's previous X-series phones provided two key color expressions: vivid colors from Vivo and natural hues by Zeiss. Vivo's vibrant colors aimed to capture the essence of beauty beyond human vision, whereas Zeiss' approach aimed to faithfully depict the world with high-resolution and sharpness.

With the addition of the new "vivo texture color," a feature inspired by the classic era of film cameras, users can now create personalized works of art filled with rich colors and encapsulate everyday scenes filled with emotion. Jingdong demonstrated the effect of this new color expression through camera samples from the Vivo X90S. Furthermore, he confirmed that the X90S would be available in a new shade, "Qingyang," a derivative of cyan.

The X90S is rumored to come with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset and offer Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, with the rest of the specs likely mirroring the Vivo X90, announced in November of the previous year.

Consequently, the Vivo X90S is expected to sport a triple camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, along with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The device will run on the OriginOS 3.0-based Android 13 OS.

Regarding memory and storage, the X90S will have up to 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone will be powered by a 4,810mAh battery with 100W charging support. It will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, offering Full HD+ resolution (1260 x 2800 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is anticipated to be unveiled in China within the current month.
