The Vivo X100 Pro+ aims to astonish everyone, particularly with its camera
The new super smartphone model X100 Pro+ from Vivo, with its camera hardware, might significantly unsettle its competitors.
The much-anticipated Vivo X100 series, designed with a strong focus on photography, is expected to be unveiled in November this year. Rumor has it that the series will include three models: Vivo X100, X100 Pro, and X100 Pro+. The most noteworthy is the X100 Pro+ which is speculated to come with an extraordinary 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. This camera, due to its innovation, has garnered significant attention and fresh information has emerged on Weibo hinting that it will be a tailor-made sensor.
According to a recent post by well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Vivo X100 Pro+'s 200-megapixel periscope camera is expected to be custom-built, with optical performance that outstrips that of famous Sony sensors like the IMX890 and IMX866. It's been suggested by another source that the camera sensor may tentatively be called Samsung HPV, a result of a partnership between Vivo and Samsung.

This compact camera sensor, presumed to be based on the Samsung HP3, is predicted to have an ample 1/1.4-inch size and offer native 3x or 5x optical zoom capabilities. These industry insiders have indicated that sophisticated AI algorithms will empower users with an impressive 10x optical zoom experience.
The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro models are rumored to be powered by the yet-to-be-released Dimensity 9300 chipset. This new flagship Dimensity chip may be introduced in October or November of this year.
The Vivo X100 Pro+ is projected to house the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Last year, the X90 Pro+ was launched alongside the X90 and X90 Pro, although it was reported that the X100 Pro+ may not be released until the first quarter of 2024. The X90 Pro+ was not launched outside of China, leaving it uncertain whether the X100 Pro+ will be launched globally.
