The USB-C port on the Apple iPhone 15 might will be a redesigned Lightning port
The Cupertino-based company was ordered by the EU to switch its iPhone to USB-C standards by 2024. A recent rumor made the claim that it might be premature to rejoice. According to reports, there is a chance that the manufacturer of the iPhone will introduce the USB-C connector with a number of functional restrictions. In other words, it might simply be another Lightning Port remodel. The claim is based on a Weibo article that suggests the iPhone 15 models will include an authenticator chip (a Chinese microblogging website). The Lightning ports on the current iPhones use this chip as well. InTo charge or transfer data via USB-C, you cannot just plug in any cable.
