The release date for the OnePlus 12 5G in the global market is now confirmed

Speculation surrounds the highly-anticipated OnePlus 12, due to be announced in China this December. Previous releases such as the OnePlus 11 5G, which was revealed to the global market in February, have led many to suggest the OP12 will follow suit. An interesting development, however, comes from trusted source Max Jambor. Max, well-known for his accurate OnePlus leaks, suggests that the OnePlus 12 may hit the global market earlier than expected.

The claim indicates that OnePlus 12 could see its global launch as soon as January, concurrently in all markets outside China, India included. It's an exciting possibility, one that has already stirred interest amongst tech enthusiasts.

Looking into the rumored specifications, the OnePlus 12 appears to be a powerhouse device. Leaks suggest a 6.7-inch curved-edge AMOLED display featuring a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This is complemented by LTPO technology for adaptive refresh rates. The front-facing camera is said to be a 32-megapixel unit, while the rear camera setup is expected to consist of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX9-series main sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B unit with 3x optical zoom and OIS.

Driving the OP12 is speculated to be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is set to be announced at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2023 event this coming October. It is anticipated to boast up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

In terms of software, the OP12 is expected to come pre-loaded with Android 14 OS and OxygenOS 14. Battery-wise, rumors suggest a 5,400mAh capacity with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
