The Redmi 12 has officially been launched in Thailand, following its recent listing on Xiaomi's Portugal website and numerous leaks. This latest addition to the smartphone market succeeds the Redmi 11, released last year, and comes packed with various impressive features right out of the box.

Sporting a 6.79-inch LCD display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout, the Redmi 12 offers an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 550 nits. The phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated within the power button. In terms of design, the phone is compact, featuring three camera sensors neatly placed on the rear panel without any separate module.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple rear camera setup on the Redmi 12, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Additionally, the smartphone also includes an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.

Under the hood, the Redmi 12 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, accompanied by up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The phone operates on MIUI 14, based on the Android 13 OS.

The Redmi 12 comes with a host of connectivity options including 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The 8GB + 128GB variant of the Redmi 12 is priced at TBH 5,299 (approximately CNY 1,090). However, pricing details for the 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models remain undisclosed. Available color options include Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver.
