The price of the Google Pixel 8 series got leaked

The latest member of Google's popular Pixel smartphone series, Pixel 8, emerged this time due to a price leak.

The highly anticipated Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are slated for unveiling on October 4 during Google's hallmark event. While much has been speculated and leaked about these devices, their pricing remained a mystery. However, recent insights suggest that European prices, storage, and color variants for these smartphones are now available.

Details emerging from The Tech Outlook, courtesy of information provider Paras Guglani, indicate that the Pixel 8 will be available in Europe in storage capacities of 128GB and 256GB. Potential buyers can look forward to color choices such as Hazel, Obsidian, Rose, and Mint. The pricing for the 128GB model is positioned at €874.25, inclusive of 23% VAT, whereas the 256GB variant is pegged at €949.30, once again including the 23% VAT.

On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro seems to promise more variety in storage. It is expected to be available in 128GB, 256GB, and a generous 512GB option. Color variations are said to encompass choices like Bay, Obsidian, Porcelain, and Mint. As for pricing, the 128GB base model will reportedly be priced at €1,235.72, with the 23% VAT included. The most expansive 512GB option is believed to come at €1,461.24, while the 256GB variant might be up for grabs at €1,309.95, both prices incorporating the 23% VAT.

Diving into the specs, the Pixel 8 is rumored to have a 6.17-inch display, boasting a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a peak brightness of 1400 nits. This model might also impress with a variable refresh rate ranging between 10Hz and 120Hz. In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro could stand out with a more substantial 6.7-inch display, offering a resolution of 2992 x 1344 pixels and a luminance ceiling of 1600 nits.

Under the hood, both models are expected to be energized by the new Tensor G3 chip, potentially boasting up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The battery capacities are speculated to be 4485 mAh for the standard model, with the Pro variant housing a 4950 mAh battery.
