In a recent update from source @Tech_Reve, it has been hinted that Samsung is readying for the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone later this year. The phone is rumored to be powered by Samsung's proprietary Exynos 2200 processor, as no Qualcomm Snapdragon variant is currently expected.

The decision to opt for the Exynos 2200 processor over Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor is seen as a tactical move on Samsung's part. The intent is likely to reduce costs and retain a healthy profit margin. Nevertheless, this strategy might potentially affect the Galaxy S23 FE's market performance, given the rather underwhelming response to the Galaxy S22 series.

Further leaks from @Tech_Reve offer more detailed insights into the Galaxy S23 FE's specifications. It's suggested that the device may come with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which will operate at a swift 6.4 Gbps. Also, the phone's storage configurations might comprise UFS 3.1 with capacities ranging from 128GB to 256GB.

As for the camera specifications, it's rumored that the front camera will host a 12-megapixel sensor with a 1.12um pixel size. The primary camera is likely to feature an impressive 50-megapixel sensor with a 1.0um pixel size (GN3). Moreover, the Galaxy S23 FE is speculated to have a 3x telephoto lens, fitted with an 8-megapixel sensor with a 1.0um pixel size (Hi-347), and an ultra-wide-angle camera offering a 12-megapixel sensor and a 1.12um pixel size (IMX258).

New insights have also emerged regarding the software development for the European variant of the Galaxy S23 FE. Reports indicate that firmware testing has commenced for the model number SM-S711B. However, there's no evidence of similar testing for the US and South Korean versions yet.

Given the current testing stage, it seems the launch of the device might still be a considerable time away, potentially around early 2024. Meanwhile, Samsung is also speculated to unveil flagship devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 by July end.
