The iPhone 15 series might face supply challenges
Despite recent negative news about the iPhone 15 models, tech enthusiasts still seem highly interested in this phone.
The anticipation surrounding the release of the iPhone 15 series in Korea on October 13th is palpable. However, there are mounting concerns regarding potential shortages, especially of the top-tier models. The supply constraint is not unique to Korea, as countries like China and Japan have already grappled with the dearth of available iPhone 15 series models. In China, the shipment date for the iPhone 15 Pro Max has been pushed back to November due to these shortages.
These supply concerns are reminiscent of the past when the top models like the Pro version faced shortages during the iPhone 14 launch. The iPhone's popularity among the MZ generation suggests that the demand for the iPhone 15 series, particularly the top-tier models, will likely be high.

Korean distributors are cognizant of this and have been taking steps to address it. An employee from Korean Telecom mentioned that they're accepting provisional reservations for the iPhone 15 series, with the current reservations surpassing those of the iPhone 14 series. On a similar note, an SK Telecom representative expressed the surge in interest for the iPhone 15 series, highlighting its USB-C type as a significant pull factor.
History also serves as a warning. Last year, Korean consumers faced a prolonged wait for the iPhone 14 Pro, with some even waiting over a month for their online purchases from the Apple Korea website to be delivered.
