Huawei has released a new budget smartphone for the global market. The Huawei Nova Y71 has been officially listed on the company's website, featuring a 6.75-inch display and an impressively large 6000mAh battery. The phone presents a high-end design, with a triple camera module at the rear. Like other Huawei phones, this 4G handset operates on a Kirin chipset and does not include Google services.
The Huawei Nova Y71, despite being a mid-range device, boasts a premium design. The phone's aesthetics include a gently curved back with a cylindrical camera module. A U-shaped notch and slim side bezels adorn the front of the device. The device weighs approximately 199g and measures a slim 8.98mm. A headphone jack, which is less commonly seen in new models, is included in the design.

The smartphone is equipped with a large 6.76-inch TFT LCD display, boasting a 90.26% screen-to-body ratio and HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The display can produce 16.7 million colors. While Huawei did not specify the processor in the product description, it's expected to run on the Kirin 710A. The chip is complemented by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB with a microSD card.
As for photography capabilities, the Nova Y71 features a 48MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle, and a 2MP depth assist lens with an f/2.4 aperture. A front-facing 8MP camera is available for selfies. The device is powered by a 6000mAh battery, claimed to last up to half a week. It supports 22.5W HUAWEI SuperCharge technology and runs on Huawei's EMUI 12 software straight out of the box.
The Huawei Nova Y71 is currently being sold in South Africa for 4999 ZAR ($266) and is expected to become available in other regions in the near future.
