The Galaxy S23 FE model's chipset information has emerged
Updated information keeps pouring in from the Galaxy S23 FE model, which has the undivided attention of smartphone enthusiasts.
Recent reports suggest that Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S23 FE in the last quarter of 2023. This move follows a hiatus in the release of a Fan Edition phone in the previous year. Despite being a much-anticipated device, early leaks and certifications stirred up speculation regarding the potential use of the controversial Exynos 2200 SoC in the smartphone. Unfortunately, recent Geekbench listings have confirmed these suspicions, disappointing many Galaxy S23 FE enthusiasts.
Details have emerged from the Geekbench 6 compute test for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, model number SM-711B. It reportedly features 8GB RAM, Android 13, and an octa-core processor with a base clock of 1.82 GHz, and a boost clock of 2.80 GHz. Both the s5e9925 motherboard and the Samsung Xclipse 920 GPU unquestionably verify that the Exynos 2200 chipset is indeed the power behind this device.
The Galaxy S23 FE model's chipset information has emerged
The Exynos 2200, initially revealed alongside the Galaxy S22 series, did not live up to its high expectations as a contender to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The improvements in performance are modest, boasting only a slight 5% increase in CPU performance compared to its predecessor, the Exynos 2100, which was included in the Galaxy S21 FE. The Exynos 2200, however, does offer approximately 15% better GPU performance. As such, if you’re thinking of upgrading from the Galaxy S21 FE, the performance enhancements with the Exynos 2200 may not be substantial.
Expected specifications for the Galaxy S23 FE include a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The device should provide users with a choice of different storage configurations, options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Reports also suggest that the device will house a 4,500mAh battery and support 25W fast charging. Interestingly, there are rumors of a substantial camera upgrade for the Galaxy S23 FE, potentially boasting a 50MP camera in contrast to the 12MP camera on its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE.
