Huawei, one of the most significant names in the smartphone world, is nearing completion with its work on the Nova 12 Pro.
Huawei has introduced the Nova 11 SE to the Chinese market, a new addition to its mid-range smartphone offerings. Buzz around the tech circles indicates that the company might expand this line with the Nova 12 series. The expected release is rumored to be set either for later this month or in December. This new series is anticipated to be in direct competition with OPPO's Reno 11 series and Vivo's S18 series, both of which are slated for releases in a similar timeframe.
A render has surfaced that is believed to be the Huawei Nova 12 Pro, showcasing its design which includes a curved-edge OLED display. This model stands out due to its dual selfie camera cutouts on the front display, offering a unique aesthetic with a visible screen segment separating the two cutouts. Speculations suggest that these cutouts could house a 60-megapixel dual selfie camera setup.

The design innovation extends to the back of the phone as well. Here, the primary camera is positioned at the top, followed by an oval-shaped camera array. This array consists of two additional lenses with a horizontal LED flash strip nestled in between them. If the rumors hold true, the Nova 12 Pro could feature a robust camera system comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a versatile 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens that doubles as a macro shooter, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens.
In terms of performance, the Nova 12 Pro is expected to pack a punch with the 5G-capable Kirin 9000s chipset. The OLED screen is rumored to offer a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Battery-wise, a 4,500mAh cell with 100W fast charging support is anticipated. Operating under Huawei's Harmony OS 4, the device may also bring the novelty of two-way satellite connectivity.
