This represents a significant upgrade in both battery capacity and charging speed compared to their predecessors. The previous model, Xiaomi 13, was powered by a smaller 4,500mAh battery and offered 67W fast charging. Moreover, the reports hint at both Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro featuring a USB-C port compatible with the USB 3.2 standard.
As for performance, the Xiaomi 14 series is projected to be driven by the soon-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. With Qualcomm likely to announce this new chipset in October, there's speculation that the Xiaomi 14 lineup could debut as early as November in China. Further information from a previous leak from DCS indicates that the Xiaomi 14 series will continue to house the 1-inch camera sensor, while the larger 1.33-inch sensor remains under development.
The Xiaomi 14 series is also expected to include the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, this model's release is anticipated later, likely to be announced in the first quarter of 2024 in China.
