The Honor Magic V2, which has been making a name for itself through leaks for some time, has now shown itself during the certification process. Here are all the technical specifications of the eagerly awaited Honor Magic V2.
In November 2022, the technology company Honor rolled out its foldable Honor Magic Vs smartphone, powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, in China. Currently, speculations are swirling that the brand is planning to launch a series of two to three foldable smartphones this year, specifically for its home market. Notably, a fresh Honor device bearing the model number VER-AN10 has recently received approval from China's MIIT authority. This device is widely believed to be the impending Honor Magic V2 foldable smartphone.
While the MIIT certification does not disclose any specific details regarding the Honor Magic V2's features, it does suggest that the device's launch could be imminent. According to the rumor mill, the upcoming gadget might be available in two versions, each featuring different chipsets: the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The anticipated reveal of the Honor Magic V2 is projected for July. It's expected that the device will echo the slim and lightweight design of the Huawei Mate X3, similar to the dimensions and weight of the Mate X3 when folded (156.9 x 72.4 x 11.8mm and approximately 240 grams), which was launched in March of the current year.
Gleaning from information leaked by Digital Chat Station, the Magic V2 is expected to come with a bespoke 2K LTPO foldable screen with high-frequency dimming. It is also said to be powered by a high-density dual-cell battery, combining a 2840mAh and a 2060mAh cell, likely culminating in a typical capacity of around 5,000mAh.
The Magic V2 is rumoured to offer a 66W wired charging capability and a 50W wireless charging feature. Additional details about the V2 have yet to be released. This foldable device is poised to challenge upcoming rivals like the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 and the OPPO Find N3, with the latter speculated to be rebranded as the OnePlus V Fold for global markets.
