Since its inception in 1998, Google has transformed from a simple search engine to a dominant technological force with various undertakings. One significant venture is in the smartphone realm with the Pixel series, which has attracted a devoted following over the years. The recent I/O 2023 developer conference, however, left many awaiting details about the anticipated Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, as Google chose not to divulge any specifics.
Despite this absence of official details, the tech world is buzzing with leaks and insights about these devices. Notably, Roland Quandt, a recognized tech expert, shared that the Pixel 8 Pro might come in three storage sizes: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, consistent with the previous Pixel 7 Pro. Yet, for those eyeing the Pixel 8, the choices seem limited to 128GB and 256GB.

This gives an insight into what Google might be targeting with the Pixel 8. But as always, consumers will make their choices based on personal needs.
Another intriguing aspect of the soon-to-be-released Pixels is the revamped color options. There's talk of three shades for both devices: “Licorice”, “Peony”, and “Haze” for the Pixel 8 and “Licorice”, “Porcelain”, and “Sky” for the Pixel 8 Pro. The exact nature of these colors remains speculative, and rumors of a possible fourth color, “Jade”, have further piqued interest.
As October approaches, enthusiasts are on tenterhooks for Google's official announcement of the Pixel 8 series, which will finally provide clarity and lay all speculations to rest.
