Samsung unveiled a captivating video for the soon-to-launch Galaxy Z Flip 5
Expected to be introduced shortly, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 model drew attention with a rather fascinating video shared by Samsung.
Samsung recently confirmed the launch date for its Galaxy Unpacked event, which is set for July 26, a change from its traditional August schedule. During this event, the South Korean technology giant will be unveiling its fifth-generation Galaxy Z foldable devices, the Galaxy Watch 6 series, and the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup.
In a build-up to the event, Samsung has initiated a teaser campaign for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the upcoming foldable flip phone. The company posted a promotional video on its official YouTube channel, dubbed 'Join the flip side', referring to 'Season 2', a follow-up of the first season which was dedicated to advertising the Galaxy Z Fold 4 last September.

The new video doesn't reveal much about the Galaxy Z Flip 5 until the final moments. Rather than being a straightforward product teaser, the video takes on a humorous tone by emulating a short horror film. It features the outgoing Galaxy Z Flip 4, presenting its various features like Flex mode and ends with a sneak peek at the large secondary display of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5.
As the launch event draws closer, Samsung is likely to release additional teasers for its new devices. An earlier teaser for the Unpacked event showed the power and volume keys on the right side of the new foldable phone, which is also expected to include a fingerprint scanner. The presence of antenna lines on the frame points to the use of a metal chassis.
Leaks and rumors about the Galaxy Z Flip 5 suggest the device will feature a 3.4-inch 720p secondary display with a folder-like cutout design, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It's also expected to have a 3,700mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
