The company has already started to work in this context. The South Korean company declared its intention to employ more recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly components in their goods to lessen their negative effects on the environment. In the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23, and certain other premium smartphones, the business has previously incorporated recycled materials such ocean-bound plastic and 80% recycled PET. Samsung wants to use only recycled plastic in its devices by the year 2050.
Park Sung-sun, Executive VP and head of Samsung MX’s Mechanical R&D Team, said, “You might question what impact our campaign can have on the Earth’s environment, but it is quite a considerable amount given Samsung’s vast product portfolio. We think it can have small but meaningful reverberations to each customer.”
