Samsung plans to sell an old phone with a new processor!
The South Korean tech titan, Samsung, is drawing up plans to breathe new life into a phone it sold two years ago by switching out its chipset.
Samsung is reportedly planning to reintroduce the Galaxy S21 FE to the Indian market, according to recent revelations. The tech giant originally released the Exynos 2100-powered Galaxy S21 FE in India back in January 2022. The latest reports suggest that the company is preparing to launch an updated S21 FE model featuring the Snapdragon 888 chip. Although there hasn't been any official confirmation yet, new details about the device are being unveiled by various sources.
According to a recent leak from 91mobiles, the device's price has been revealed. Similarly, a promotional image of the model was shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav.
Information sourced from offline retailers in India suggests that the forthcoming Galaxy S21 FE 5G will bear a price tag of Rs 49,999, which is approximately $609. To put it in perspective, the original Galaxy S21 FE was launched at Rs 54,999, equivalent to around $670.

The promotional image that Yadav shared shows that the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S21 FE 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, which was announced back in December 2020. The image further suggests that the base model of the new device will come with 256 GB of storage.
Furthermore, the upcoming Galaxy S21 FE 5G will be made available in Navy Blue, with other color variants yet to be revealed.
Based on the information currently available, it seems that the updated Galaxy S21 FE will not greatly differ from the original Exynos edition, aside from featuring the Snapdragon 888 chip. Therefore, it is anticipated that the new model will sport a 6.4-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a 12-megapixel front camera, a triple rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel main, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, 8 GB of RAM, and a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging capabilities.
