Samsung has recently unveiled the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s smartphones for the Philippine market. Originally announced in September, these entry-level devices are now available with disclosed prices and features tailored for the region.

The Galaxy A05 is equipped with a 6.7-inch PLS LCD HD+ display, driven by a Helio G85 processor. It offers users a choice between 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants, coupled with 4 GB RAM. This device houses a 5,000mAh battery, which benefits from 25W fast charging capabilities. For photography enthusiasts, it boasts an 8-megapixel front camera and a dual-camera setup on the rear, featuring 50-megapixel and 2-megapixel (depth) lenses. Connectivity and hardware enhancements include dual-SIM functionality, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, face unlock feature, USB-C input, and the ever-popular 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software front, the Galaxy A05 runs on Android 13 enhanced by Samsung's One UI interface. The phone's dimensions are 68.8 x 78.2 x 8.8 mm, and it weighs around 195 grams.

Contrastingly, the Galaxy A05s showcases a 6.7-inch 2 PLS LCD 90Hz FHD+ screen and is powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset. With 4 GB RAM, it offers a storage capacity of 128 GB. Similar to the A05, it incorporates a 5,000mAh battery compatible with 25W fast charging. The camera setup consists of an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a more versatile rear camera configuration, encompassing 50MP, 2MP (depth), and 2MP (macro) lenses. The A05s integrates features like dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, side-mounted fingerprint recognition, a microSD slot, face unlock, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio outlet. It operates on Android 13 complemented by One UI, sizing up at 168.0 x 77.8 x 8.8 mm with a weight of 194 grams.

In terms of pricing, the Galaxy A05 is currently available in Black and Silver shades, retailing from PHP 5,690 ($100). Meanwhile, the Galaxy A05s is offered in Black and Light Green color options, starting at PHP 7,990 ($140) in the Philippine market.
