Samsung introduced S23 family: Here is everything we know

Samsung has introduced their long-awaited new Samsung mobile phone and accessory models, including the Galaxy S23 family, at the giant event held at The Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco. The devices stand out by being the first phones to use Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Samsung S23 family consists of 3 different models: Galaxy S23, S23 Ultra and S23 Plus. 

Samsung is ushering in a new era in premium smartphone experience. Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 devices, including the most powerful Galaxy S Series ever developed, set new standards with its artificial intelligence technology, stylish and impressive design as well as advanced technological features.

Samsung Galaxy S23 specifications

We see that the "perforated screen" design still continues in the Galaxy S23 model. We continue to see Infinity-O screens with the cameras included in the device, which has a 6.2 inch Dynamic AMOLED screen. The device screen has a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, and the screen density is 563 ppi. In all Galaxy S23 models, the front camera is located in the form of a dot / hole in the middle upper part of the screen, as in the Note 10 family. The device weighs 163 grams, the Galaxy S20 measures 151.7 x 69.1 x 7.9 mm. On the back of the Galaxy S23, we see a 64 Megapixel telephoto camera, a 12 Megapixel wide-angle camera and a 12 Megapixel ultra wide-angle camera. On the front of the device, there is a wide-angle camera with a resolution of 10 Megapixels.

The advanced camera system of the Samsung Galaxy has been developed in such a way that it can capture even the finest details in accordance with almost all light conditions. Improved Nightography features enable the Galaxy S Series to optimize photos and videos in any environment Thanks to the artificial intelligence-assisted image signal processing (ISP) algorithm, visual noise that can distort images taken in low-light environments is automatically corrected. While the Nightography feature comes to the video camera in the new Galaxy S23 Series, the Galaxy S23 Ultra also offers the Nightography feature for the renewed selfie camera (front camera) as well as video.

In the new series , pixel grouping technology, which can process multiple high-resolution images at the same time, is also used. In addition to the fast autofocus feature, the Galaxy S23 Series also includes the Galaxy Super HDR selfie camera offered for the first time on Galaxy phones. The front camera can go from 30fps to 60fps, so it can take noticeably better photos and videos.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and S23 Plus specifications

The proportion of recycled materials used in the Galaxy S22 Series is increasing even more in Galaxy S23 Series devices. While the number of components made with recycled materials was 6 in the Galaxy S22 Series, this number increased to 12 in the Galaxy S23 Series. Among these materials, recycled aluminum and recycled glass material are used. In addition to these, recycled plastic materials obtained from waste fishing nets, water drums and pet bottle wastes are also among the telephone components.

The S23 Ultra and S23 Plus share pretty much same specifications. The main difference between the two models is on the screen and battery side. Samsung's S23 and S23+ models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset developed by Qualcomm. This chipset is backed by 8GB of RAM. While the base model in the S23 comes with 128GB of internal storage, the S23+ has the base model with 256GB. It should be noted that both devices have different RAM and internal storage options.
