Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra confirmed to sport Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 worldwide
Samsung's Galaxy S24 series: A blend of Exynos and Snapdragon chips.
Samsung has officially revealed the Exynos 2400 SoC, igniting discussions about its integration into the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. Given the mixed reputation of the Exynos brand, some users may have reservations, particularly after Samsung's decision to use Snapdragon chips globally in the Galaxy S23 series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra confirmed to sport Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 worldwide
According to a report from Korean source The Elec, a clear strategy emerges for the Galaxy S24 lineup. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is set to exclusively feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, regardless of the region or market it's destined for.
In contrast, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will take a more diverse approach. These models are expected to be equipped with either the Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, depending on the specific region. It's anticipated that the Exynos 2400 variants will find their place in Africa, Asia (including South Korea), Europe, and Latin America, while the Snapdragon-powered versions are targeted for release in North America, encompassing Canada and the United States.
This strategy mirrors Samsung's previous approach with the Galaxy S22 series, demonstrating a consistent pattern in their chip distribution strategy. As the company is reportedly in the final stages of making these decisions, it appears that Samsung is unlikely to deviate from this established course.
