Samsung is known for unveiling its next generation of Galaxy S flagship phones at its Galaxy Unpacked event every February. However, with speculation rife about the upcoming Galaxy S24 series, there's a buzz about an altered launch schedule. A well-known informant, Ice Universe, recently hinted on the Chinese platform Weibo, that Samsung might be planning an earlier than expected unveiling. The suggested date for this anticipated event is January 18. Although this exact date isn't set in stone, it's expected that Samsung will introduce the next-generation flagships around this time.

Notably, the last time Samsung chose January for a Galaxy Unpacked event was in 2021, marking the introduction of the Galaxy S21 series. Such a strategic move can be seen as Samsung's bid to position itself advantageously against competitors like Vivo, Xiaomi, and OnePlus.

These brands typically announce their flagships subsequent to Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset release in October or November. By advancing its launch, Samsung may also be looking to address the robust demand created by Apple's iPhone 15 series.

Additionally, the buzz isn't just about the Galaxy S24. There are strong indications that Samsung might soon announce the Fan Edition versions of its smartphone, tablet, and TWS earbuds, given the significant amount of chatter surrounding these products recently.
