Samsung Galaxy S23 series rumored to offer satellite connectivity because the company has partnered with Iridium.
Samsung is gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphone series that is Galaxy S23. This series has been expected for a long time. Before the launch, critical leaks have been on the news for the series as well. However, a new report claims that Samsung has partnered with Iridium, which is to help enable the feature satellite connectivity of Galaxy S23 series, thanks to Irıdium's 66 low-orbit communication satellites.
Samsung Galaxy S23 series will probably support satellite connectivity
The Samsung has clearly joined forces with Iridium, where Samsung will utilize Iridium's 66 low-orbit communication satellites. Samsung seems to catch up with Apple, who implemented satellite connectivity support for iPhone 14 series.
With this support, Samsung Galaxy S23 series owners will be able to text to emergency services via satellite connectivity, when it is impossible to reach cellular and Wi-Fi connection. However, there is no official statement from Samsung as regards to this news.
To recall, previous leaks indicated that the whole series, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra will be supported by same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 730 GPU. Moreover, whole series will come with impressive optics upgrades. Series are expected to launch in two months.
