Samsung is gearing up for the release of its successor to the Galaxy M34 5G smartphone, known as the Galaxy M44. A recent leak, courtesy of tipster Anthony (@TheGalox_), provides an early glimpse of the device. The Galaxy M44 seems to adopt the design language seen in the current Galaxy series smartphones. Notably, the rear of the device showcases three camera protrusions accompanied by an LED flash. The back appears to be crafted from plastic, with the sides potentially featuring a flat design. The smartphone has only surfaced on the NRRA certification, suggesting an initial launch in South Korea, possibly under the moniker Samsung Galaxy Jump 3.

A previous benchmark listing has disclosed that the Galaxy M44 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 888 chip. While this chip is older than the Exynos 1280, it outperforms the Exynos in nearly all aspects. It remains to be seen if the global version of the smartphone will also adopt this chip.

The predecessor, Galaxy M34 5G, boasted a smooth 120Hz AMOLED display and an impressive 50MP OIS-equipped main camera. In terms of performance, it was powered by an Exynos 1280 chip, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and housed a robust 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. If Samsung decides to retain this hardware for the upcoming model, it would still represent a substantial upgrade, particularly with the inclusion of the Snapdragon 888. However, should the global variants feature the SD888, a slight price increase may be anticipated.
