Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are getting a significant update

Tech giant Samsung continues to make significant moves one after the other to compete better with its rivals.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are getting a significant update

Back in August 2022, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, offering features like exceptional active noise cancellation, 24-bit Hi-Fi sound, and voice detect, among others. Samsung has been persistent in enhancing its earphones since their introduction, and recently, another update has been rolled out that includes support for Bluetooth Auracast.

This new update, labeled as firmware version R510XXUAWI2 or R510XXU0AWI2, is a mere 5.88 MB in size. The highlight of this firmware is the inclusion of Bluetooth Auracast, a technological innovation by Samsung from the previous year. This feature is particularly noteworthy as it allows users to transmit audio to multiple Bluetooth-enabled earbuds or speakers simultaneously, facilitating shared listening experiences. Nonetheless, it's crucial to recognize that the functionality is restricted to earbuds that are compatible with LE Audio.

For those keen on leveraging this feature, the path is straightforward. Through the Galaxy Wearable App, users need to navigate to the menu, select the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro option, proceed to Earbuds Settings, and then opt for Earbuds software update. Upon doing so, an option will appear to Download and Install the update.

On another note, Samsung has recently expanded its audio range with the Galaxy Buds FE. Positioned as a cost-effective alternative, the Buds FE aims to attract Galaxy enthusiasts keen on integrating further into Samsung’s expansive eco-system. However, it's worth noting that some advanced functionalities present in higher-end versions are absent in the Buds FE.
