Relief for Galaxy S23 Ultra users: Samsung confirms the latest Ultra is not deformed
Samsung confirms that the rumored Galaxy S23 Ultra display defect is indeed not a 'defect'.

On the display of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, a number of users have noticed a strange shape. On Reddit, Samsung Community, and Twitter, users have been complaining about the bubble-like effect on the bottom right or left of the phone's screen, leading them to wonder whether they received a defective unit. Despite the visible formation on the display, Samsung has now stated that there is nothing wrong with the S23 Ultra's display.
PhoneArena reports that when a strong light is shined on the Galaxy S23 Ultra's screen, some areas may appear pressed or squashed. This is because waterproofing and dustproofing require a pressing process.

Multiple laminated layers of window glass are directly attached to the display panel on the Galaxy S23. Samsung stated, "If you shine a strong light on the display, some parts may appear to be squashed/pressed, this happens because of the pressing process for waterproofing and dustproofing. This is not a product defect. Everything is fine with your phone."
In point of fact, Samsung has a support page on its Taiwanese website that provides additional explanations for the traces of stacked lines and arrangements that appear on the displays of its smartphones.
“This is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the function and life of the product,” Samsung stated in that post.
