Redmi Pad SE gets an official reveal and is now available
After much speculation and leaks, the Redmi Pad SE finally makes a complete appearance.
In August, the Redmi Pad SE was introduced in Europe as a more modest version of the previous year's Redmi Pad. Initially anticipated to be the Redmi Pad 2, it has now reached China a month later, being showcased at the Redmi Note 13 series release event.
The Redmi Pad SE is crafted with a sleek metal unibody design, standing at a slim 7.36mm thickness and weighing 478g. Its design is dominated by an 11-inch display which boasts an 84.4% screen-to-body ratio. This LCD display has specifications like a 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution, 207 PPI, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Notably, it supports a brightness of up to 400 nits, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and is compatible with stylus input.

Inside, the tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, supplemented by LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. It operates on the MIUI 14 for Pad software, built on Android 13. In terms of cameras, it features an 8MP sensor at the back and a 5MP one in the front. The device is accentuated by Dolby Atmos-enhanced quad speakers, but also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot. For connectivity, it offers dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. The power source is an 8,000mAh battery, which can be charged using a USB Type-C with a 10W capacity.
In terms of pricing in China, the Redmi Pad SE has a competitive edge. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at ¥999 ($135), which is significantly less than the €229 tag it carries in Europe for the same model. Other variants include the 8GB + 128GB model at ¥1,099 ($150) and the 8GB + 256GB option at ¥1,299 (~$180). Potential buyers have the choice of gray, purple, or green colors and the product is currently available in China.
