Earlier this year, Xiaomi's independent brand Redmi extended the Redmi Note 12 series lineup by introducing the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, a premium mid-range model, with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. However, the tech giant has now decided to enhance its reach to a more budget-conscious segment of the market by announcing a more economical option, the 128GB storage version of the Note 12 Turbo.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo's latest offering is equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and it is priced at a modest 1799 yuan ($251), marking it as the most affordable model in this series. Unfortunately, as of now, this variant is exclusively available to Xiaomi enthusiasts in China, with no confirmation regarding its global availability.

Featuring a 6.67-inch OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo provides a vibrant and sharp display. The screen touts a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 120Hz refresh rate, and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The smartphone's design incorporates a center-aligned punch-hole cutout, slender bezels, and an impressive 93.45% screen-to-body ratio, making for an immersive viewing experience.

Under the hood, the Note 12 Turbo employs the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. The smartphone can house up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage, offering seamless multitasking and generous storage. For thermal management, it integrates a 3725mm vapor cooling chamber. A 5,000mAh battery, supporting 67W fast charging, powers the device.

The rear of the Note 12 Turbo sports a seamless three-camera array with no module, comprising a 64MP primary lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro unit. A 16MP camera on the front caters to selfie enthusiasts. The smartphone operates on MIUI 14, based on Android 13, providing a feature-packed and user-friendly interface.

As for connectivity, the device supports dual 5G, WiFi-6, NFC, Bluetooth, an IR Blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, catering to diverse connection needs.

Now, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is offered in a broader range of options: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256 GB, 12GB + 512 GB, and 16 GB + 1TB, making it more accessible to a variety of users.
