Redmi introduced its new products today with great enthusiasm. Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro are one of the most exciting phones from the mobile giant. The features of the phones also attracted great attention. Let's take a look at all the details.
Redmi Note 12 & Redmi Note 12 5G specifications and price
The Redmi Note 12 5G has a 6.67-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz screen refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 1200 nits and supports touch sampling rates of up to 240 Hz. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an AI face unlock feature. It has a thickness of 7.98 mm and a weight of about 188 grams.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 1(6nm) SoC supporting 5G powers the phone. There are options for 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM as well as 128GB and 256GB of storage. The device has 48 Megapixel primary, 2 Megapixel macro and 8 Megapixel cameras, in addition to a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging. Phone functions on Android 12 based MIUI 13.
In addition to 5G model, new series include vanilla Redmi Note 12 model. This version is different than 5G version. The screen specifications of vanilla Redmi Note 12 are same with the 5G version. However, SoC, camera and battery specs are different than 5G version.
To start with SoC, MediaTek Dimensity 1080 supports Redmi Note 12 along with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage options. For the optics, there are 200 Megapixel main camera, 8 Megapixel ultra-wide unit and 2 Megapixel macro lens. In addition, phone is backed up by a 4,300 mAh battery supporting 210W charging.
The Redmi Note 12 5G came in black, white and blue colour and will be priced at $165 on a 4GB/128GB version, going up to $235 for the 8GB/256GB model. Open sales in China begin on November 1st. Later on, phone will reach to global markets. On the other hand, vanilla Redmi Note 12 requires $167 for 4GB/128GB option along with price tag of $235 for the 8GB/256GB version.

Redmi Note 12 Pro have the same 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and up to 900 nits brightness.
On the back of the Redmi Note 12 Pro, there are three camera sensors: a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with optical image stabilization(OIS), an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2 Megapixel macro unit. It has a 16 Megapixel lens for video calls and selfies.
5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer are all examples of connectivity options in the phone. The Redmi Note 12 Pro comes with a battery of 5,000 mAh and it supports for 67W fast charging.
Redmi Note 12 Pro costs $235 for 6GB/128GB version and requires $262 and $290 for the 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB options, respectively. The Redmi Note 12 series came in four colors: Midnight Dark, Time Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, and Shallow Dream Galaxy.
