Redmi K70E unveiled in China
Redmi has launched its new K70E model in the Chinese market, featuring a 6.67-inch OLED display and Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor at an attractive price.
Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi K70 series with the addition of the Redmi K70E, unveiled at an event in China. This new addition shares a similar physical appearance with the other models in the series, the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro, but distinguishes itself with a chassis made of plastic.
The Redmi K70E showcases a 6.67-inch OLED eye-protection screen, offering a 1.5K resolution of 2712×1220. It features a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visual transitions and an in-screen fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. The display also boasts a peak brightness of 1800 nits and super dynamic HDR, which includes 8x brightness enhancement, 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate, and ten-level dimming, making it both vibrant and comfortable to use.
In terms of color accuracy and eye protection, the Redmi K70E excels with a Delta E of approximately 0.43 and a JNCN of around 0.31. It comes equipped with hardware-level blue light reduction, supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and introduces a circadian rhythm eye protection mode. This combination of hardware and software-based features has earned the device an S++ rating for visual health friendliness.
The smartphone is powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset, manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 4nm process. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, providing robust performance and support for a variety of AI-related features such as Xiao Ai large models, AI portraits, and AI album search.
Storage-wise, the Redmi K70E offers up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, running on HyperOS-based Android 14. The phone features a 5000mm² stainless steel VC for cooling and high-power graphite material with a thermal conductivity of 1500W/mK, ensuring efficient heat dissipation.

The camera setup includes a triple-camera configuration on the rear: a 64-megapixel OV64B main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. A 16-megapixel front camera is dedicated to capturing high-quality selfies.
Powering the device is a 5,500mAh battery compatible with rapid 90W charging. The phone also features Xiaomi’s Sea Star Algorithm to preserve battery capacity and extend its life.
Despite its power-packed features, the Redmi K70E maintains a slim profile, measuring only 8.05mm in thickness and weighing 198 grams. It also includes an X-axis linear motor, stereo dual speakers, full-featured NFC, and an infrared remote control.
The Redmi K70E is available in three colors: Ink Feather, Clear Snow, and Shadow Green. It is priced at 1999 Yuan ($282) for the 12GB+256GB variant, 2199 Yuan ($310) for the 12GB+512GB option, and 2599 Yuan ($366) for the 16GB+1TB variant. The device is currently available for purchase.
