Redmi K70 series sets record: 600,000 units sold in first 5 minutes
The Redmi K70 series has made a record-breaking debut, selling over 600,000 units within the first five minutes, doubling the sales of its K60 series.
The Redmi K70 series, comprising the K70e, K70, and K70 Pro models, recently launched in China, marking a significant milestone in the brand's history. This series has quickly gained attention for its impressive sales performance and advanced features.
In its first sale, the Redmi K70 series achieved remarkable success, selling over 600,000 units within just five minutes. This accomplishment not only set a new sales record for the K series but also indicated a significant growth compared to its predecessor, the Redmi K60 series, which was introduced in December 2022. Wang Teng, Redmi’s Marketing General Manager, highlighted this achievement as a testament to the series' appeal and the brand's growing market strength.
The Redmi K70e, the first phone to feature the Dimensity 8300-Ultra, is priced at 1,999 Yuan ($282) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant. The model also offers configurations with 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage, priced at 2,199 Yuan ($310) and 2,599 Yuan ($366), respectively. The K70e is available in Black, Glacier Silver, and Pale Green.

The Redmi K70, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, is positioned as a sub-flagship phone. Its pricing ranges from 2,499 Yuan ($352) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant to 3,399 Yuan ($465) for the 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage model. The K70 comes in Black, Glacier Silver, Bamboo Moon Blue, and Eggplant Light Purple.
As the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone, the Redmi K70 Pro starts at 3,299 Yuan ($465) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage edition. Its other variants include 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 24 GB RAM + 1 TB storage, priced at 3,599 Yuan ($508), 3,899 Yuan ($550), and 4,399 Yuan ($620), respectively. The K70 Pro is available in Black, Glacier Silver, and Bamboo Moon Blue.
In related news, the Poco X6 Pro 5G is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K70e for the global market. Additionally, the K70 Pro is anticipated to be introduced globally as the Poco F6 Pro 5G. There are also reports suggesting that the Poco F6 5G could be equipped with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset.
