Redmi unveiled an array of products during their recent mega event in China. Among these were the highly anticipated Redmi Note 13 series phones, the Redmi Pad SE, and the new Redmi Buds 5. The latter, acting as a successor to the Redmi Buds 4, has attracted considerable attention for its competitive price and impressive features.
One of the standout features of the Redmi Buds 5 is its impressive noise cancellation, which peaks at 46db. The earbuds promise a substantial battery life of up to 40 hours. For users who prioritize connectivity, the earbuds are equipped with Bluetooth 5.3. A focus on user comfort is evident in their ergonomic design.
In terms of aesthetics, the Redmi Buds 5 have transitioned from the design of their predecessor to a new stemmed look. Consumers can choose from a palette of black, light blue, or white. Adding a unique twist, Redmi has also introduced a special edition of the earbuds in collaboration with the clothing brand, AAPE.

To ensure crystal clear calls, the earbuds are fitted with a dual mic AI noise cancellation system. Customizing the user experience is simple with the Xiaomi Earbuds app, which can be used to configure the Redmi Buds 5.
Focusing on audio quality, the Redmi Buds 5 incorporates an independent acoustic chamber. This chamber houses a 1.6m precision wound coil and a 12.4mm extra-large high-polymer titanium-plated diaphragm. Additionally, the earbuds have secured the Netease Cloud Music hardware certification. In terms of battery performance, a short 5-minute charge can power the earbuds for 2 hours of music playback.
In terms of pricing, the Redmi Buds 5 is available at 199 Yuan ($27) in China. For those eyeing the exclusive AAPE edition, it comes with a price tag of 299 Yuan ($40). However, as of now, these earbuds remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
