Redmi 13C 4G to hit the market at an affordable price

Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, has recently introduced its new budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi 13C, to the Indian market. Previously released in global markets like Nigeria under a different name, the Poco C65, the Redmi 13C is now officially available in India, broadening the brand's reach in one of its key markets.

The Redmi 13C is positioned in the budget range but doesn't skimp on options, offering three different configurations to suit various needs and budgets. The available models and their prices are:

4GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at ₹8,999 (approximately $110).
6GB RAM with 128GB storage available for ₹9,999 (around $120).
The top-tier model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is priced at ₹11,499 (about $140).
The Redmi 13C boasts impressive features for a budget smartphone. It sports a 6.74-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate for a smoother visual experience. The device includes a versatile camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera, complemented by a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the rear, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, the phone offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Both RAM and storage can be expanded — the former through virtual RAM expansion (up to an additional 8GB) and the latter via a microSD card (up to 1TB). The device runs on an Android 13-based MIUI 14 operating system.

The Redmi 13C is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 18W fast charging. For security, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone supports dual SIM and offers various connectivity options, including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It is designed to be slim and lightweight, measuring 168 x 78 x 8.09mm and weighing 192 grams.

In addition to the 4G model, Redmi has also launched the Redmi 13C 5G variant in India, priced at ₹10,999 (approximately $130), which will be available for sale from December 16.
