Redmi 12 series sells out rapidly
The sub-brand of the Chinese technology company Xiaomi, Redmi's new series, virtually sells out in its home country.
Last week, Xiaomi unveiled its new Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G smartphones in India, both priced competitively. Despite having different processors, these devices are virtually identical in all other respects and boast striking features. With these models, Xiaomi seems determined to shake up India's budget smartphone sector. The early response has been phenomenal; Xiaomi reported selling 300,000 units of the Redmi 12 series on the first day alone. This remarkable achievement translates to an approximate revenue of INR 3 billion for the company.
While Xiaomi hasn't disclosed the individual sales figures for the 5G and 4G Redmi 12 variants, both are currently unavailable on Amazon and Flipkart, indicating their popularity. A note on Xiaomi's website hints at a potential restock or sale event on August 8.
