Redmi 12 5G made its appearance in the Geekbench test
Developed by the Chinese technology company Redmi, the Redmi 12 5G, surfaced this time in the Geekbench test.
Last month, Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, released the Redmi 12 4G, a device powered by the Helio G88 SoC. Now, expectations are rife for a subsequent 5G model. Though Xiaomi has kept silent on the Redmi 12 5G, a gadget presumed to be the Redmi 12 5G, identified by the model code 23076RN4BI, has surfaced on Geekbench, disclosing key specifications.
The Xiaomi 23076RN4BI, running on Android 13, is speculated to be equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. It boasts 8GB of RAM, with potential additional memory configurations yet to be revealed.
In addition to Geekbench, the Xiaomi 23076RN4BI has made an appearance in BIS' database, hinting at an impending launch in India. It's announced that Xiaomi will introduce the Redmi 12 in India on August 1, but the version, whether 4G or 5G, remains uncertain.

Promotional material from the Chinese brand seems to suggest the 4G model, given the similarity in design and the inclusion of a 50MP primary camera. Nonetheless, should it be the 5G model, the chipset could be the only distinction between the two models, or perhaps there may be additional differences.
Furthermore, it's also possible that the Redmi 12 5G is a variant of the Redmi Note 12R. The latter is a Redmi 12 4G model enhanced with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, a 5MP front camera, and devoid of an ultrawide camera.
