A recent discovery in the Geekbench listing has brought to light Red Magic's endeavors towards the anticipated launch of the Red Magic 9 gaming smartphone. This device is expected to come equipped with the groundbreaking Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. However, it's interesting to note that Red Magic has just released its Red Magic 8S Pro in Indonesia.
For the Indonesian market, Red Magic provides two distinct storage configurations for the 8S Pro model. The initial variant, which is available in a sleek Midnight hue, comes with a memory of 12GB RAM and storage space of 256GB, and carries a price tag of IDR 11,999,000. The more premium variant, limited in availability and draped in an Aurora shade, offers 16GB of RAM with 512GB of storage and is priced at IDR 14,999,000. Potential buyers can place their pre-orders from August 29th, with this phase lasting until September 19th, 2023.

Delving into the specifics, the Red Magic 8S Pro flaunts a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 2,480 x 1,116 pixels in resolution. This vivid screen supports 10-bit color depth, emits brightness up to 1,300 nits, and ensures smoother visuals with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, clocked at 3.36GHz. Users have access to up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and a maximum of 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The device also stands out for its ICE 12.0 cooling system, complemented by a vast 2068mm³ vapor chamber for optimal heat management. Additionally, the phone is backed by a robust 6,000mAh battery, capable of 65W rapid charging.
For photography enthusiasts, the phone features a 16MP under-display camera at the front. The back houses a versatile triple camera ensemble, consisting of a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide module, and a 2MP macro lens. Acoustic experiences are amplified with dual speakers and three microphones, and the device also incorporates an X-Axis Linear Motor. The phone's integrated fingerprint sensor intriguingly doubles as a heart-rate monitor, and for those concerned with connectivity, the device supports Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7, USB-C, and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
