Red Magic has officially introduced its latest offering, the Red Magic 8S Pro, to the Indonesian market.
A recent Geekbench listing has unveiled that Red Magic is diligently working on its upcoming gaming smartphone, the Red Magic 9, which is set to be powered by the much-anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. In the midst of this development, the brand has also introduced its latest offering, the Red Magic 8S Pro, to the Indonesian market.

For Indonesian consumers, the Red Magic 8S Pro is being offered in two storage variants. The first variant boasts 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at IDR 11,999,000, and is available in the Midnight color option. The second variant offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, retailing at IDR 14,999,000, and comes in the Aurora color variant. Notably, the Aurora color variant with the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration will be available in limited quantities. Pre-orders for the smartphone commenced on August 29th and will run through September 19th, 2023.
The Red Magic 8S Pro is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, featuring a resolution of 2,480 x 1,116 pixels, 10-bit color depth, an impressive 1,300 nits brightness, and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate.
Beneath the hood, it packs the formidable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, clocked at 3.36GHz. The device offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM paired with up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. A notable highlight is the incorporation of the ICE 12.0 cooling system, housing an expansive 2068mm³ vapor chamber (VC) that effectively dissipates heat. A robust 6,000mAh battery powers the smartphone, bolstered by 65W fast charging capability.
The display features a cutting-edge fourth-gen 16MP under-display camera, while the rear of the phone is adorned with a versatile triple camera setup: a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro unit.
Furthermore, the Red Magic 8S Pro boasts dual speakers, a trio of microphones, and an X-Axis Linear Motor. It also integrates an under-display fingerprint scanner with heart-rate monitoring capabilities. On the connectivity front, it offers Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7, USB-C, and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack—a feature increasingly rare in modern smartphones.
