realme GT Neo 5 launch timeline confirmed
realme GT Neo 5 240W variant has been officially confirmed to go on sale next month in China.
realme has been preparing to release the realme GT Neo 5 series in China as a follow-up to the realme GT Neo 3 5G which was announced in 2022. Due to the number 4 being considered unlucky in Chinese culture, they typically skip it. While the specifications of the smartphone have been revealed through various listings and certifications, the launch date had yet to be confirmed.
A popular tipster, Abhishek Yadav, tweeted that the device would launch on February 8th, but realme has now officially announced the launch date through a teaser image.

realme has recently shared a new poster, indicating that the GT Neo 5 will officially be launched next month in China, specifically on February 2023. The tipster also mentioned that since the teaser has been shared by realme, it is likely that the device will be launched on the aforementioned date.
Nevertheless, the brand has not yet made any statement regarding the international release of the device. It has been confirmed by realme that the device will be the first to support 240W fast charging technology.
realme GT Neo 5 will be available in two variants
The realme GT Neo 5 smartphone is rumored to come in two different versions. One version will have a 4,600mAh battery that supports 240W fast charging technology, while the other version will be equipped with a larger 5,000mAh battery that supports 150W fast charging technology. To achieve faster charging speeds, realme plans to incorporate dual-cell batteries in the Neo 5 smartphones.

According to the Geekbench listing, the clock speeds of the chipset in the realme GT Neo 5 have been revealed. These clock speeds suggest that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It will also feature an Adreno 730 GPU. It will also offer up to 16GB RAM.
realme GT Neo 5 is rumored to have a 1.5K-resolution 6.7-inch AMOLED display. It will support 2160Hz PWM dimming and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The phone would have three rear cameras, the primary of which would be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 890 sensor with optical image stabilization. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor would be used in conjunction with the sensor. A punch hole in the middle, which will house the 16-megapixel sensor, was seen in the TENAA images.
