Realme's new flagship, the GT 5 Pro, surpassed the entire day's sales of the GT Neo 5 in its first hour of release. This achievement highlights the brand's growing popularity.
Yesterday in China, Realme hosted a launch event to unveil the Realme GT 5 Pro, a new addition to its smartphone lineup, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Following the announcement, the device has been made available for pre-orders, with sales scheduled to commence on December 14th.
The Realme GT 5 Pro has already generated significant buzz in the market, as indicated by the company’s announcement on Weibo regarding its pre-sale performance. The device reportedly achieved a surge in pre-sale figures, surpassing the entire day’s pre-sale volume of the previous GT Neo 5 model within just an hour. This marks a tenfold increase in pre-sales compared to the GT 2 Pro from last year.

Realme, along with its Chief Marketing Officer in China, Xu Qi, has highlighted the GT 5 Pro’s exceptional price-to-performance ratio. This smartphone is competing in the Chinese market with other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship phones, including the Xiaomi 14 series, iQOO 12 series, Meizu 21, Redmi K70 Pro, and OnePlus 12.
Noteworthy features of the Realme GT 5 Pro include its support for wireless charging (50W), a USB 3.2-enabled USB-C port, an IP64-rated chassis, an aluminium alloy frame, and a periscope telephoto camera. The pricing starts at 3,399 Yuan (approximately $477) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB variant, with a 100 Yuan discount offered on the first sale day.
In terms of specifications, the Realme GT 5 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It comes equipped with a 5,400mAh battery supporting 100W charging, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and runs on Realme UI 5-based Android 14. The device features a 32-megapixel front camera and a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel (LYT-808, with OIS) primary sensor, an 8-megapixel (IMX355, ultra-wide) lens, and a 50-megapixel (IMX890, 3x optical zoom) camera.
