The design and technical specifications of the A79 5G model developed by Chinese tech company Oppo got leaked.
The Oppo A79 5G is poised to make its debut in the Indian market as a successor to the earlier released Oppo A78 5G. One of the defining aesthetic features of this phone is its flat frame design, available in Glowing Green and Mystery Black color variants. Notably, its rear camera setup is distinguished by a rectangular island with cameras encircled by stainless steel rings. With dimensions measuring at a sleek 7.9mm thickness and a weight of 193g, it is both stylish and functional.
This handset boasts a 6.72-inch centered punch-hole display. The LCD screen is not just sizeable, but it also offers impressive visuals with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+). This is further enhanced by a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 680 nits. The display showcases a commendable 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, a 1400:1 contrast ratio, and a 96% NTSC color gamut, ensuring vibrant and sharp visuals.

At its core, the Oppo A79 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, ensuring smooth performance. It is complemented by 8GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 128GB. Additionally, users who require more space can expand the storage with MicroSD cards, supporting up to a whopping 1TB.
When it comes to photography, the device doesn't disappoint either. The rear dual-camera setup includes a 50MP Samsung JN1 primary sensor, complemented by a 2MP OmniVision OVO2B1B depth sensor. For selfie enthusiasts, the phone has an 8MP OmniVision OVO8D front-facing camera.
On the software side, the Oppo A79 5G runs on ColorOS 13.1, which is based on Android 13, ensuring users get the latest features and security updates.
