OnePlus appears to have officially announced the name of its inaugural foldable smartphone. The confirmation came via a tweet shared by the brand recently, coinciding with Samsung's introduction of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, both belonging to the fifth generation of Samsung's foldable devices.

The tweet posted by official OnePlus account says: "‘We OPEN where other FOLD". While OnePlus has not directly confirmed the name of its upcoming foldable phone, this tweet indicates that it might be called OnePlus Open. Speculations about this name have been circulating for some time.
OnePlus Open rumored specifications
According to leaked renders, the OnePlus Open exhibits a tall and slim design with a leather back panel housing a distinctive circular camera module carrying Hasselblad branding. The module accommodates two 48MP sensors alongside a 64MP periscope lens. As for its core specifications, the foldable phone is rumored to sport a 6.3-inch exterior display and a 7.8-inch interior display, both utilizing AMOLED panels with a high 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Open is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. To keep the device running, it is expected to feature a 4,800mAh battery, which can be charged at a rapid 67W rate.
