Nubia Z60 Ultra dazzles with impressive rear design and launch date

Nubia has officially announced the launch date of its Nubia Z60 Ultra. According to the company's official Weibo post, the unveiling is scheduled for December 19th at 2:00 PM. The company is promoting the device as an “all-rounder” package and has shared some images to provide a glimpse into its design elements. The Nubia Z60 Ultra features a familiar design with circular cameras, flat sides, and rounded corners, continuing its tradition of a classic circular camera design while maintaining its iconic aesthetic.

In terms of camera capabilities, the phone is expected to boast a formidable setup, including a 50-megapixel main camera, another 50-megapixel sensor for ultra-wide shots, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens likely offering 3x optical zoom.

Camera samples previously revealed show promising results, though specifics about the image sensors are yet to be confirmed. Ni Fei, President of ZTE’s Terminal Division and Nubia Technology Co. Ltd., has hinted at a custom lens assembly for the main camera. He described the Nubia Z60 Ultra as “a mobile that shoots stars,” raising expectations for its 64-megapixel 3x telephoto lens's real-life performance.

Apart from its camera, the Nubia Z60 Ultra is set to impress with other specifications as well. It packs a substantial 6000mAh battery, supported by 80W fast charging. The device aligns with the RedMagic 9 Pro series in terms of processing power, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. A recent Geekbench listing confirms further specifications, including 12 GB of RAM and an operating system based on Android 14, suggesting a strong performance capability.
