Nubia has started the countdown for two significant devices

On the 5th of July, Nubia is slated to launch the Red Magic 8s Pro gaming smartphone, and to the excitement of many, a gaming tablet as well. This will be the brand's first foray into the gaming tablet market, and here is what we know so far about it.

Nubia has already given us a glimpse of the Red Magic gaming tablet with two posters published on Weibo. The first one displays the front design of the tablet, although it doesn't provide any other details.

The second poster, however, reveals that the tablet will come with a large 10,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. As the launch approaches, it's anticipated that the company will share more information in the coming days.

Insights about the specifications of the Red Magic gaming tablet have also been shared in a recent Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station. According to the leak, the device will sport a 12.1-inch high-resolution screen, but whether it's an OLED or LCD panel remains unknown.

The Red Magic gaming tablet is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, supported by 12 GB of RAM. The leak also corroborates the battery capacity and charging features from the official announcement. As of now, no information has been provided about the device's cameras. Digital Chat Station also mentioned that there will be a 5G version of the Red Magic gaming tablet.

Speculation is rife that the Red Magic gaming tablet might be a rebranded or tweaked version of the ZTE Axon Pad 5G, announced in April this year. The Axon Pad boasts a 12.1-inch LCD display with 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB / 512 GB of storage, a 10,000mAh battery with 80W charging, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
