Nothing Phone (2) will soon release its new variant
Seeking its share in the smartphone world, Nothing continues its strategic moves one after another.
In July 2023, the tech world saw the release of the Nothing Phone (2) in India, available in two color options: Dark Grey and White. Notably, the exclusive white color was reserved for the higher storage configurations, specifically the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB models. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 128GB variant was solely available in the Dark Grey hue.
However, recent teasers from Flipkart indicate a change in this trend. They've hinted at the introduction of the White variant for the 8GB + 128GB model during the Big Billion Day sale. Shoppers can also look forward to a special discounted price for this model during the event.
Delving into the specs of the Nothing Phone (2), its 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display is a standout, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels. With a peak brightness of 1000 nits, the display is further enhanced by a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit panel support, HDR10+, and an impressive contrast ratio of 1000,000:1. For protection, it’s covered with Corning Gorilla Glass and seamlessly integrates an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Photography enthusiasts would be pleased with its camera configuration. The phone sports a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor in the front, while the back houses a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor serves dual purposes: acting as an ultra-wide-angle lens and offering support for 4cm macro shots. Enhanced low-light photography is also made possible with a dual-tone LED flash.
Performance-wise, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and an Adreno 730 GPU. It offers a diverse range of storage options, including 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Depending on the model, this is coupled with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Running on the Nothing OS 2.0, based on Android 13, users can anticipate updates for Android versions 14, 15, and 16. Moreover, the brand commits to delivering security patches bi-monthly for a period of four years.
The battery life is catered for by a 4700mAh battery. Charging solutions are diverse, with 45W fast charging through a USB 2.0 Type-C port, 15W Qi wireless charging, and even 5W reverse wireless charging capabilities.
