Nokia, known to be working on a new phone for a while, has finally unveiled its mysterious device.
Nokia is reportedly developing a new mid-range smartphone, tentatively named the Nokia G42. This mysterious device initially surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking site and recently emerged within the Bluetooth SIG authority's database. Significantly, a second Nokia phone, bearing the moniker Nokia G310 5G, has also gained Bluetooth certification.
The Bluetooth SIG certifications affirm that the Nokia smartphones, model numbers TA-1573 and TA-1591 / TA-1581, are expected to launch under the names Nokia G310 5G and Nokia G42 5G, respectively. Besides confirming Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, these Bluetooth listings have unveiled some crucial specs for these upcoming devices.

According to the listings, both the Nokia G42 5G and Nokia G310 5G will sport a 6.5-inch LCD panel, characterized by a V-shaped notch. The display will support an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness level of 560 nits. In terms of protection, the screen will be shielded by Gorilla Glass 3.
The Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G chipset will power both devices, with the Android 13 OS pre-installed. The Nokia G42 5G was spotted on Geekbench with 4 GB of RAM, and other sources suggest that a 6 GB RAM variant may also be available, with storage options extending up to 128 GB. Details concerning the devices' camera setups or battery capacities are currently unavailable.
