New information surfaces as Oppo A78 4G appears in certification process
The new model from Chinese tech company Oppo, this time revealed itself during the certification process.
The wheels at OPPO are constantly spinning, driving innovation and new developments. In the early part of this year, the tech giant unveiled the A78 5G smartphone. Currently, the focus is on the creation of a 4G variant of the A78 model. In line with this, the 4G version of the phone has received numerous certifications, with the latest accolade being the IMDA certification. Recently, the OPPO A78 4G has been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Bluetooth SIG certification websites, which indicates that its launch is fast approaching.
The OPPO A78 4G, carrying the model number CPH2565, has been listed on both the FCC and Bluetooth SIG sites. According to the FCC certification, this device will feature the brand's own ColorOS 13.1, likely based on the Android 13 operating system. As for its dimensions, the smartphone will have a height of 158.76 mm and a width of 71.04 mm.

Regarding its connectivity capabilities, the FCC certification discloses that the phone will support 4G, 3G, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth. Additionally, the device will draw power from a robust 5,000mAh battery unit, identical to the one found in the 5G version. As revealed by the Bluetooth SIG listing, the OPPO A78 4G will support Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
While the certification websites do not provide further details about the OPPO A78 4G, it is clear that the device is inching closer to its official launch, given the number of certifications it has collected. This new model is predicted to offer a slightly scaled-down performance compared to its 5G sibling and could potentially house a different processor.
