iQOO is eagerly preparing to unveil several new smartphone models this month. Among them, the iQOO Z7 Pro is scheduled for a grand release in India on August 31st. Concurrently, in China, the company will be debuting its mid-range contenders, the iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x. Both are anticipated to be game-changers in terms of their performance-to-price ratio.

A trusted source has recently shared comprehensive specifications for these awaited devices. The iQOO Z8 boasts a 6.64-inch LCD display that refreshes at an impressive rate of 120Hz. Its rear camera array consists of a dominant 64MP primary shooter with image stabilization, complemented by a 2MP portrait lens. For the selfie enthusiasts, a 16MP front camera has been integrated. Powering this device is the formidable Mediatek Dimensity 8200 chipset, ensuring smooth and fast operations.

Potential buyers will have a choice between models, with the high-end offering up to 12GB of RAM and an expansive 512GB storage, which, if needed, can be stretched up to a staggering 1TB using a MicroSD card. Its sibling, the iQOO Z8x, while sharing similarities such as the 6.64-inch 120Hz LCD display and the 2MP portrait camera, distinguishes itself with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. Memory options for this variant peak at 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can also be expanded up to 1TB. However, it packs a meatier 6,000mAh battery, albeit with a slower 44W charging capability.

Notably, both models have retained the 3.5mm headphone jack and come equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, and IR control. Software-wise, they will operate on the OriginOS 3.0, which is based on the Android 13 platform.
