New images of the Google Pixel 8a have leaked
The Pixel 8a, which has been making headlines due to various speculations, is now in front of us with new image leaks.
With anticipation building around Google's forthcoming smartphones, the tech giant is slated to unveil the Pixel 8 series on 4th October 2023. While the Pixel 8 series primarily spotlights premium models, Google seems to have its sights set on the mid-range market too, hinting at the eventual launch of the Pixel 8a. In recent developments, leaked images have surfaced, providing insights into the design of the much-anticipated Pixel 8a.
A notable tipster, Abhishek Yadav, unveiled these images on the platform formerly known as Twitter. From what can be gleaned from the images, the Pixel 8a seems to be sporting a vibrant blue hue. Further details shared by Abhishek highlight the device's codename "Akita" and reveal it to be powered by Google's in-house Tensor G3 SoC. These images provide a comprehensive view of the smartphone, from its front and back to its side.
The front design is marked by a center-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, bordered by noticeable bezels. The Pixel 8a also stands out with its curved edges, aligning its aesthetics more closely with the other models in the Pixel 8 series. Observations from the side image reveal the positioning of the power button and volume controls. A notable design retention is the visor camera module, reminiscent of the previous Pixel 6a and Pixel 7a models.
However, it's crucial to approach these leaked images with a degree of skepticism. Given that the Pixel 8a's official launch is still on the horizon, there's a possibility that the leaked device could be a prototype. Drawing from past trends, considering that the Pixel 7a was launched in May 2023, one could speculate a similar timeframe for the Pixel 8a's debut.
