The Moto X40's release date appears to be getting closer while reports start to show up. We now have some overall ideas about what to expect related to the device. On certification platforms like 3C and TENAA, the device has recently been spotted. At the same time, Lenovo's China Mobile Phone Business Department general manager Chen Jin has begun teasing the Moto X40's arrival. He confirmed two of the device's main features today.
Moto X40 specifications
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is expected in Moto X40, which will be rebranded as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro in global markets in the coming months. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, which is anticipated to launch next month (November), appears to be the new flagship platform of interest. In December 2021, its predecessor, the Moto Edge X30, became the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone in the world. The Moto X40 appears to be one of the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones to launch this year.
The specifications of the Moto X40 have not yet been published on TENAA. Other reports indicate that the phone may be able to charge at 68W.According to reports, the Moto X40 will feature an OLED display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and two RAM capacities—8 GB and 12 GB LPDDR5x.It will have triple rear cameras with 50 megapixels each and a 60-megapixel front camera.
