Microsoft is updating its Surface Laptop Go series
Microsoft continues to increase its market share in the laptop world with its Surface models.
Last month, Microsoft unveiled a range of Surface devices during their annual hardware event. Among these, the Redmondo-based tech giant has now introduced the Surface Laptop Go 3 to the Indian market. This new entrant is a successor to the Surface Laptop Go 2 from the previous year and is presented as Microsoft's lightest and most compact Surface product.
The Surface Laptop Go 3 boasts a 12.4-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1,536 x 1,024 pixels. This screen not only promises a peak brightness of 330 nits but also offers protection with Gorilla Glass. In terms of audio, Microsoft has equipped the device with Omnisonic speakers complemented by Dolby Audio premium. Alongside, it features dual far-field studio microphones and a 720p front camera. A standout feature is its fingerprint scanner, seamlessly integrated into the power button, which facilitates secure logins using Windows Hello.

Peeking inside, the Surface Laptop Go 3 is powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor coupled with an Intel Iris Xe GPU. Depending on the variant, it can have up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD. All these components draw power from a 40Wh battery, which, according to Microsoft, can deliver up to 15 hours of operation. As for the software, the laptop runs on Windows 11, supplemented by Microsoft's AI assistant, Copilot.
From a connectivity standpoint, users are offered a USB-C port, USB-A port, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi-6, Bluetooth 5.1, and a dedicated Surface Connect port.
